Hyderabad, July 3: Tax-Yantra.com launched India's first customized online tax filing service on Tuesday

"It provides end to end online tax services and Indian tax payers can now file taxes from anywhere in the world," said Mr Nitin Vyakaranam, Director of Tax Yantra.com.

"The application is based on a set of simple questions. The quickness with which one can complete the tax return filing with us will make them wonder why they thought taxes were tough," he said.

Mr D.V. Dharmik, chief commissioner of income tax in Andhra Pradesh, thought that "these kinds of user-friendly initiatives will bring more individuals to file their returns regularly." Tax return forms are generated after the tax payer answers questions and fills the form on the website. The customer has to sign the form and then they can file it themselves with the IT department or notify the TaxYantra team to file the papers.

Services are priced at Rs 100 for filing and Rs 250 to pick up and file with the IT department. The company charges $20 for its services abroad.

Mr. Vyakaranam claimed that the website will educate taxpayers in respect of the tax filing procedures in a simple way. "We believe that understanding taxes is the first step towards better tax savings and the website helps our customers save more out of the taxes that they pay. This site is designed to equip individuals to manage their finances, " he said.
